𝗔𝘆𝗼𝗱𝗵𝘆𝗮 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬

The dispute revolves around a plot of land that is claimed by both Hindus and Muslims.

The core of the conflict lies in the Hindu belief that the land is the birthplace of Lord Rama, a revered deity in Hinduism, and is the site of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. However, in the 16th century, the Mughal emperor Babur ordered the construction of the Babri Masjid (mosque) on the same site.

Tensions continued for centuries, but the dispute erupted into violence in the 1980s and 1990s, culminating in the demolition of the Babri Masjid by Hindu nationalist groups on 6 December 1992. This incident led to riots across the country and deepened communal tension among Hindus. , And Muslims.

In 2010, the Allahabad High Court delivered a landmark verdict, dividing the disputed land into three equal parts between the Sunni Waqf Board, Nirmohi Akhara and Hindu parties represented by Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram). After years of hearings and deliberations, in November 2019, the Supreme Court of India delivered a landmark verdict.
